Install Ubuntu Desktop

NB: This post is part of the series on building a home lab

Step 1

First thing is to headover to the official download page and download the ubuntu desktop

Step 2

Create a new virtual machine in the vmware. For some wierd reason the recommended approach was giving me issues. So i will create this virtual machine using the custom approach

Step 3

Now that the configuration is done, power on the virtual machine

Step 4

Great. If u see a similar screen then you have succesfully installed Ubuntu desktop. Login in with the credentials

Step 5

Set static IP address
