This is Metasploitable2 (Linux)

Metasploitable is an intentionally vulnerable Linux virtual machine. This VM can be used to conduct security training, test security tools, and practice common penetration testing techniques.

VM Setup:

Step 1

Download metasploitable-linux-2.0.0.zip from sourceforge and unzip the file.

Step 2

Start the VMware workstation Pro and this time we click on "Open "instead of "New Virtual Machine"

Next browse to the location of the file

Start the virtual machine now

Step 3

Thats it. You have successfully added the metspoiltable 2 to the LAN
